Different databases?

October 4, 2011 – 1:29 pm

We have heaps of databases, and more than just the ones that give you journal articles.

Did you know that we have great image databases, including…

  • ARTstor – art, architecture and archaeology
  • CAMIO – art from around the world
  • Cooperative Digital Resources Initiative – Christian art, architecture and iconography
  • Primal Pictures – detailed human anatomy images in 3D
  • SMART Imagebase – illustrations and animations depicting anatomy, physiology, surgery, diseases, and other health science topics
  • TV News – news, current affairs and selected documentaries from Australian free-to-air networks
  • VADS: Visual Arts Data Service – visual arts collection

And we have great databases and resources to help you find statistics or theses or reference or newspapers?

To use these resources just go to the Library home page , go to Databases (journals, articles) and you will see ‘databases by format’:

As you can see –  a heap of great resources in formats you might not have thought of –

  • audio
  • ebooks
  • images
  • reference
  • statistics
  • theses
  • videos

Newspapers are further down the page (see ‘databases by subject’) under ‘News & Media’.
Take a look, and if you need any help – don’t forget to contact your Library.
