Canberra *feels* like celebrating!

This month – to celebrate *feel* in April (the National Year of Reading monthly theme)  – the Canberra campus library has a book display of items relating to the topic *feel*.

Particularly lovely is the colourful book  ‘How are you peeling?: foods with moods’ by Saxton Freymann and Joost Elffers.  The book contains wonderful photographs of carved fruits and vegetables with simple text relating to numerous emotions, like …

When you have to wait, because someone is late, are you bored? Jumpy? Worried? Grumpy? Excited as the minutes pass? Now your friend is here at last…  and … How do you feel when someone is mean? Timid? Bold? Or in-between? …

*tip…If you would like help with searching for picture books on a particalr topic or theme, take a look at our short video ‘Children’s Literature in Library Search’
