Cookie problems?

We have had some reports of errors when accessing electronic journal articles via library search. The error often states you need to allow cookies.

The best solution we have found is to click the “Hide frame” link in the very top right hand side of your browser.

Alternatively, try the red More fulltext/Other options link (located in the top centre of the browser) to see if you can get the full text from another database instead. You can also use this more option when you see other errors – such as no access/forbidden or a blank screen.

At the moment we are unsure what is causing this issue, it may be related to the new version of Windows – Windows 8.

If you are experiencing this problem, we would very much like to hear about it!  Continue to use the report a problem link, and remember to include as much detail as you can.

  • Were you using library computer or your own PC/laptop?
  • Were you on campus or somewhere else?
  • Are you using Windows 8?
