She is the quiet achiever, known to many staff and students at Strathfield campus library as the warm, friendly and extremely helpful librarian. What many do not know about Bernice McIntyre is that she has given 21 years of outstanding service at ACU, including her tireless commitment and contribution to the Faculty of Education.

On Wednesday 19 November 2014, Bernice was presented with the Pride of Workmanship Award from the Rotary Club of Strathfield. The award recognises individuals who demonstrate outstanding personal and professional qualities such as productivity, ethics, initiative and creativity in the workplace. Apart from all the work at the library at ACU, on Wednesday nights, you’ll find her lending a helping hand on the St. Vincent’s Night Patrol program, as well as being involved in several other voluntary community engagement programs.

Bernice’s colleagues attest to her humility and work ethic. According to Strathfield Campus Library Manager, Marianne Chauvet, “Bernice represents the values, mission and social justice espoused by ACU and her positive and enthusiastic spirit make her an absolute pleasure to work with.” Congratulations Bernice!
