Peace in any language: Harmony Day, Strathfield

March 23, 2015 – 9:16 am
ACULibrary

As Harmony Day marks its 15th year of celebrating cultural diversity, Strathfield Campus Library is doing its bit to promote inclusiveness and respect.

Staff and students are putting pins on a world map to show where they or their ancestors hail from. Post-its are on hand so that library visitors can also write the word peace in another language.

For students keen to explore saying peace in other languages, they can scan a QR code to a website.

We also provided QR codes to link students to relevant electronic resources held at ACU, including a dictionary of languages, an e-journal article on multiculturalism in Australia and the Multicultural Australia and Immigration Studies database.
