Book of the year 2015 winners!

The Children’s Book Council of Australia for 2015 winner’s were announced on Friday: full list with winner and honours.

The winning books were…

Older readers: The protected, Claire Zorn

Younger readers: The Cleo stories: the necklace and the present, Libby Gleeson, and illustrated by Freya Blackwood

Early Childhood: Go to sleep Jessie!, Libby Gleeson, and illustrated by Freya Blackwood

Picture book of the year:  My two blankets, Freya Blackwood, text Irena Kobald

Eve Pownall Information book: A-Z of Convicts in Van Diemen’s Land, Simon Barnard

It’s also Book Week from Saturday 22 August – Friday 28 August, and the Book Week theme will be “Books light up our world

But, you will have to be quick to view them as they are going…going….(and will soon be) gone!
