New to ACU? Or just need some top tips to get you back into the swing of things about the library?

Top tip #1 Leap into Learning

Leap into Learning (LiL) is an online tutorial that helps you develop the skills you need to succeed at university.  LiL gives you a great head start when it comes to searching and analysing information, so Leap into Learning as soon as you can!

Top tip #2 Start with our Subject guides

If you want to find good quality, scholarly information on a particular topic, but don’t know where to start – have a look at the Library’s Subject guides.  The guides are put together by subject Liaison Librarians who really know their stuff and they point you in the right direction to find the best databases, journals and ebooks, and much, much more for a particular subject area.  You’ll find a link to the Subject guides on our website.

Top tip #3 Get to know the Library website – library.acu.edu.au

It’s your starting point to access the more than 500 databases, 250,000 ebooks and over 108,000 ejournals available to you while you study at ACU. The Library website never sleeps and you can access many of the Library’s high quality resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week anywhere you are online.

Top tip #4 Contact us when you need help or have a question

– contact the library

  • via chat – 24/7 in semester
  • via email
  • over the phone
  • in-person

Top tip #5 Keep up to date

Email: the Library sends important notices about loans, overdue books, etc. to your ACU student email, so check your email regularly.

Social media: keep up-to-date with Library happenings via Library NewsFacebookTwitter, YouTube and Flickr.  So read, like, watch, see or tweet us today!
