The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club (also know as The Pickwick Papers) was the first novel of Charles Dickens.

Published in monthly installments from 30 March (some say 31 March) 1836 until November 1837.

Remind yourself of the wonder in reading Dickens.  Read The Pickwick Papers online.

  2. Thanks, that’s interesting to know.

The thing I like most about Dickens is that he always had sympathy for the underdog.

  3. Yes and a wonderful way of drawing you into the lives of the characters. I always finish his books with a kind of dread that I won’t be “visiting” the characters any more.
