On trial: BrowZine

June 6, 2016 – 10:25 am

BrowZine is a tool for reading eJournal issues on tablets, phones, and on the web. It consolidates journals from several publishers and aggregators from our own library collection, so you can read and browse issues through a single interface rather than looking up each journal individually.

With BrowZine you can:

  • create your own bookshelf of favourite journals
  • get alerts when new issues are published
  • see related titles
  • save articles to read later (app only)
  • sync with Endnote, Zotero, Mendeley, Dropbox and more (app only).

Browser access:

BrowZine will automatically detect if you are on campus and select your Library. You will be prompted to select your Library if accessing the database off-campus, so select ‘Australian Catholic University’.

Mobile access:

BrowZine app is available for Android, iOS and Kindle Fire devices. Search for “BrowZine” in Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Amazon App Store and download the app to your device.
Once you open BrowZine app, a list of libraries will appear. Select Australian Catholic University and use your ACU username and password to access the database.
Use the Subject dropdown menu to browse by subject categories or use the Titles A-Z to find a specific title by name.

Search BrowZine.

We have BrowZine on trial until 30 June, so please have a look and let us know what you think!
