Friday 7 April is the Feast Day of Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle, patron saint for ACU’s Faculty of Education and Arts.

Born in France in 1651, Jean-Baptiste de La Salle was a French priest and educational reformer who dedicated more than 40 years of his life to educating the children of the poor.

He is the Founder of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools (De La Salle Brothers) a founding congregation of ACU.
