Congratulations to the Strathfield debating team who took the honors in the 2014 inaugural Strathfield National Debating competition.

The National Debating competition finalists covered the controversial question “Should University Education be Free?”

Christopher Duncan, Matthew O’Shea and Leo Boudib from Strathfield campus won the event, arguing that university education should not be free in Australia.

In second place came the Melbourne team – Taliesa Robinson, Zyl Hovenga-Wauchope and Rebecca Wain – who argued for the affirmative at the National Debating Competition on Monday 15 September in North Sydney.
